Beyond Results
We develop healthy and sustainable performance
What connects sport and business? Both worlds are about healthy and sustainable performance development.
We support head coaches, teams, and sporting clubs in developing a healthy and sustainable performance culture that delivers more than results.
The challenges faced by today's head coaches are similar to those faced by exposed managers in the business world.
While the business world has recognized the importance of good leadership for decades and is gradually developing its managers, the world of sports is only just beginning to leverage this potential.
Our coaching approach for head coaches combines insights from over 20 years of leading international teams, concepts from executive coaching and sports psychology.

Club Culture
A club culture is the collective personality of a club. It is based on values, norms and attitudes that are reflected in the thoughts and actions of coaches, players and employees. Instead of creating values posters that hang in the clubhouse as artifacts after the workshop, we go deeper. We accompany you step by step in recognizing ingrained thought patterns that prevent you from healthy and sustainable performance development, cultivating concrete behaviours, routines and principles of action and creating a framework to unfold the potential of your organization.
Presentations & Facilitation
My key notes examine today’s leadership and collaboration from a sports perspective, particularly sports psychology. They are both entertaining and thought-provoking and offer a welcome opportunity for reflection. Listeners gain insights about their limiting thinking patterns preventing them from reaching their potential and learn how to overcome them. The presentations are offered to both head coaches and sponsoring clubs.
Coaching with Markus has given me clarity about what I will do after my active handball career, how I can use my strengths and my experience from sports for my future career.
Markus was my first contact when I was in a deep crisis. His empathy made it easy for me to open up. He also quickly recognized that I needed psychotherapeutic support and used his network to provide me with this help, which I am still very grateful for.
During the preparation phase, Markus helped us to work out our common definition of success and to define clear principles of action by which we could measure ourselves - regardless of the result. During the season, he stood by us in difficult situations to help us find our way back to our common strength.

This book breaks with outdated beliefs that slow down healthy performance development. Readers are encouraged to recognize 100 tactical mistakes that prevent organizations to perform in the long run. This book opens up new avenues of thoughts and inspires the reader to redefine success and performance.
3 THOUGHT PATTERNS THAT PREVENT A HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE PERFORMANCE CULTURE:
“We play solely for the result":
Our one-sided focus on measurable results leads to short-term thinking and makes us driven by our results rather than proactively driving them.
“We must motivate our players":
Under the misconception that employees must be constantly motivated, we invest considerable energy in increasing their willingness to perform, rather than their ability to perform.
“We run more than our competitors":
We glorify the ‘extra mile‘ and promote those who work hardest for success and prominently display their efforts. This results in equating performance with action rather than impact.
